This exciting 5 day self drive tour takes in some of New Mexico's most enduring attractions and will allow you to visit a range of fascinating destinations around the state as you explore on a fly drive tour based in Albuquerque
Day 1 Pick up your Albuquerque car hire at the depot at the International Airport when you arrive.
Day 2 Drive from Albuquerque through the Pueblo Indian Cultural Centre and Sandia Peak Cable Way to White Sands National Monument and onwards to Alamogordo.
Day 3 Leave Alamogordo early in the morning, and drive to Carlsbad Caverns the largest cave system in the USA where clouds of bats soar from the cave at dusk.
Day 4 Drive the short distance to Roswell, a small town that is most famous as the site of a supposed UFO crash in 1947.
Day 5 On the last day of your tour you will drive from Roswell back to Albuquerque via Fort Sumner, where the outlaw Billy the Kid was shot at the height of the old west era.
