One of the most popular self drive trips for anyone visitng California is a drive through the desert to Las Vegas. This itinerary puts a new twist on an old favourite and lets you see some amazing sights along the way including the unforgettable Grand Canyon.

Day 1 Drive from Los Angeles to the sunny desert resort town of Palm Springs where the air is clean and there are a number of entertaining attractions to enjoy.

Day 2 Today is a long drive through some spectacular countryside between Palm Springs and Phoenix, so make sure you pick up anything you need before you set off.
